So, I got right to the point before and don’t see a reason to change course now. I’m a straight shooter. That’s a good thing in the affiliate space. Not everyone is, which has been this marketing channel’s biggest problem.
When affiliate marketing first came on the scene, it was a free-for-all. No regulation. No rules. No restrictions. No scruples. Agencies made a killing.
Big companies crushed it. Unfortunately, solo players in the space got their asses handed to them. They couldn’t compete. And when they tried, the big boys made navigating the market harrowing. It was super complicated, and folks gave up.
If it sounds like I’m speaking from experience, I am.
I was one of those lone wolves trying to profit with offers, niches, and lead funnels without a model for success. I was forced to buy-in to the hottest networks and those bids left me underwater.
I couldn’t understand it. I did the research. I had incredible copy, the best backlinks, and ads that were getting clicks. Still, nothing was working in terms of ROI.
